Why should I use the ELIT System instead of a Combination Electrode?
- Cost effective
- Exceptional stability and quick response
- All solid state technology gives the electrode a longer life
- Little or no pre-conditioning
- Easy to store

Cost effective:In the laboratory, the user would generally purchase one reference electrode which could be used with several different Ion Selective Electrodes.
- With the ELIT ISE, when one electrode fails, replace it without paying for two electrodes
- With the combination electrode, the user is obligated to purchase a reference electrode for each ION. Furthermore, if only one electrode is defective the user must pay for two.
Storage:
- All solid state technology gives the ELIT Ion Selective Electrode a longer life
- 1 year of use and up to 3 years on the shelf
- Easy to store: the ELIT ISE's are stored dry
- A combination electrode has both the ION and reference electrodes housed together.
- The reference electrode in any form, either gel or liquid, must be stored wet, whereas the ISE must be stored dry. This is virtually impossible if the two are housed in one body. Consequently, the reference system is more likely to be defective and fail than a regular reference electrode.
