The ALF autoclavable laboratory fermenter is easily detached from the drive unit for sterilization in the autoclave: only three screws must be removed.
Made of Duran glass with a double glass jacket, the fermenter permits full observation of the culture, even a culture in the bottom space.
Autoclave Laboratory Fermenter ALF available in sizes 3.7, 5.0 and 7.0 litres

- Bioengineering selected a bottom drive to allow the best possible utilization of the cover area.
- An innovative magnetic coupling was devised so that the bottom drive does not interfere with removing the vessel for autoclaving.
- The reactor vessel is sterilized in the autoclave with all peripherals attached. Needle connectors and septa are thus unnecessary.
- A wide range of connectors are available for hooking up all inlet and outlet lines. These specially designed connectors, as well as the probes and connecting cables, are made in standard 12 mm and 19 mm sterile versions.
- An external water bath of the highest quality, together with the double glass jacket, permits control of the fermenter temperature, which can be monitored with a Pt 100 sensor.
- In line with standard Bioengineering practice, instrumentation and control devices are integrated into the modular system, so that state-of-the-art pH, pO2, redox, antifoaming and other instruments and controls can be efficiently used.
